Choosing a service

I am not sure which sequencing method I need. Can you help?

Yes. Tell us your research question, organism and budget, and we will suggest the most suitable and cost-effective option. See also Which service do I need?

What is the difference between Sanger and NGS?

Sanger sequencing reads one DNA fragment at a time (up to about 1,000 bases) — ideal for identifying an isolate or checking a gene. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) reads millions of fragments at once — needed for whole genomes, microbiomes and gene expression.

Do you sequence samples from any organism?

Yes: bacteria, viruses, fungi, plants, fish, animals, humans and environmental samples. See the full list on the home page.

Samples and shipping

How much DNA do I need to send?

For most NGS services: at least 200 ng total DNA, at least 20 µL, at least 10 ng/µL, with A260/280 of 1.8–2.0. See sample requirements.

Can I send raw samples instead of extracted DNA?

Client: yes/no, which sample types, and extraction price

How do I send samples from outside Dhaka?

Client: recommended courier and packing Message us before sending so we can expect your package.

Price, time and payment

How long does sequencing take?

Client: typical turnaround, e.g. Sanger X days, NGS X weeks Exact times are confirmed in your quote.

How do I pay?

Client: bKash, Nagad, bank transfer, purchase order; when payment is due

Do you offer student discounts?

Client: yes/no and conditions

How will I receive my data?

By email or a download link. Typical files: AB1 and FASTA for Sanger; FASTQ and a quality report for NGS.

Can you help me analyse the data and write my paper?

Yes. Data analysis and manuscript-writing support are available. Ask for details in your quote.

What happens if my sample fails quality control?

We contact you before sequencing and explain the options, such as sending a new sample. Client: confirm QC-failure policy and charges
